These luxurious wool throws, designed by textile artist Hannah Robson, are made in small batches in West Yorkshire. With every step of the process happening locally, from the design, spinning of the yarn to weaving and finishing at a Yorkshire mill.
The block design has a jacquard weave, created on jacquard punch card looms and features alternating coloured rectangular 'blocks' with subtle stripes running through that gradiate from charcoal to ecru across the weft, revealing a graditation from light to dark and a tonal softness across the alternating geometric pattern.
The throw is made from 100% wool, being a mix of 50% Merino and 50% Shetland wool. It has a soft texture and a substantial medium weight, making it suitable to use all year round.
Hannah developed the intricate design from her interest in modernist design, textile history and a fascination between light and materials. She based the motif on archetypal patterns in textiles; squares and rectangles, the core visual language of weaving.
The colour palette of mulberry purple and peach, has been carefully created to balance playfulness with modernity and will add a refined and impactful touch to any room in your home.
