Our long wooden serving board is made from sustainably felled English Sycamore from the Castle Howard Estate in Yorkshire. It has a highly rippled grain known as fiddleback sycamore, giving it an iridescent appearance in certain light. Sycamore is renowned for its antibacterial properties, making it historically used in butchers blocks.
Handmade and unique, each board is planed, shaved, sanded, oiled with food-safe Osmo oil, and stamped by hand. Its long size makes it perfect for serving canapés, cheese or charcuterie or beautifully displayed in your kitchen adding a Scandi touch.
The board has a soft, paddle shape that resembles a figure and can be mixed and matched with our other boards. Designed to be a meaningful representation of a departed family member, adding a sentimental touch to the table, and intended to be an heirloom piece passed down through generations.
